Marathon des Sables Stage 4 update: Ash in camp

‘Well here I am on the afternoon after the long day. To say it was emotional is an understatement! It took me 26 hours to cover 82KM. I hit a serious wall at CP5 and slept at the CP for 2hours then I got up at 2.30 and set off through the rest of the night… the stars were amazing and all I could think of was you. It was very beautiful. I saw dawn and then on to the finish there were a lot of tears and I can honestly say it was the hardest thing I have ever done. temps in the day around 40 degrees and massive 9% drop out this year. lots of people with very bad feet.. inc mine now. But only 1 day to get through tomorrow!
